This is of a flower my mother had as a potted plant that bloomed when I was in Tennessee on vacation.  I have not been able to find out what kind of flower it is.  My mother thought it was a bromeliad, but I don’t believe it is.  I won an award for this painting at the fall 2000 exhibition from the New Mexico Watercolor Society.  Marilyn Hughey Phillis was the juror and judge for the show.  You can see this painting at Charles Pianos, 2420-A Monroe NE, in Albuquerque.
